Macleay Options is a not-for-profit community-based organisation which also provides in house support services for adults with a disability.
Conceived in 1962 Macleay Options Inc. has been supporting people with a disability and assisting their families and carers ever since. The organisation was started by a group of parents who shared the common goal and vision of creating opportunities for children with an intellectual disability at a time when special education facilities in Kempsey and surrounding areas were very limited.
Over the years, Macleay Options is focused solely on providing adults with training and employment in supportive environments.
The announcements of the changes to how Macleay Options is funded with the implementation of the NDIS the Management have actively sort to diversify the organisations income streams to allow greater self sufficiently and development industrial arms that are able to be recognised and be competitive in the open market within their own right, whilst always remaining to its core.
